The problem is that Mayor Bloomberg has to weigh the ILPs of this marathon against the Yuris of the City.

Yes, that's part of his j.o.b. as the City's mayor... but bashing him isn't going to solve a damn thing.
And as I recall, all of Yuri's concerns were addressed earlier in this thread. They haven't changed. ILP was just giving us the other face of the coin. I - for one - appreciated hearing it; some of it hadn't occurred to me. I had previously though Bloomberg a jackbutt for even considering moving forward with the marathon... but ILP made me see why he was thinking about it.
