Do men and women view competitors differently?
I was recently at an event and there was a really hot and hunky model posing for photos with the ladies. You should have seen the line up. I met him last year at the same event. He also caused quite the high level of attention. I was having some refreshments round the back and he came in for his break. I said "Man are you ever intimidating. Experience tells me guys who look like you are nothing but trouble." He laughed and agreed "You know something you're right." We joked around for a bit and then he got back to work.
Well this year, I was told he would be back but wearing less clothing.
When he showed up I told him "I was told that you would be back with less clothing." He said "Hey that's not fair. Who told you that." He wasn't so intimidating this year. I guess it helped because the same person who told me he would be back with less clothing also told me that he had volunteered and helped with the clean-up after Katrina. Clearly this isn't a guy who is totally into himself.
He joked around with me and gave me a lot and gave me some great photos. I told him I would have to hit the gym so I could pose with him next year. Did I tell you the guy was hot and hunky?
Now you know this was out of town. I would never go anywhere near a guy who looked like that in Toronto. I would head for the opposite side of the room. Trust me.
Anyway, after a while a whole lot of guys came along who hadn't seem him for a while. No they weren't gay. They were really happy to see him greeted him enthusiastically. He called out to them and they all went over picked him up right over their heads and it was great fun. I got some shots of that too.
Anyway, here is my question. I was really surprised that he was so well received by the guys. Frankly, I was surprised he would have any male friends as he is THAT hot and definitely competition. (Trust me I don't think too many women would have been friendly to another woman in the same situation.)
I asked a couple of guys about this and they told me a hunk like that would be seen as an asset. He would be the chick magnet, draw in the women and, since it would be impossible for him to handle all of them, it would widen the pool for all of them.
So men, do you agree? Would you ever be friends with a guy who is THAT hot? I know I would never be friends with a woman who attracted that kind of attention.

No I did not give him my phone number. Can you imagine trying to keep baggy on around a guy like that!?! It would be difficult.
