they carried over with the conversion it seems, temporarily. just go into the PM box and you will see that you have folders. for example One should say "sent" and give you the option to delete the entire folder.

go to private messages...edit folders...then select a folder (inbox, sent etc) and pick "empty folder"...of course this only works if u don't mind deleting all of them.

Xavier, avatars add so much fun to the forums. I notice you and the moderators have Avatar.s Can you activate them for senior members like me who have caused no problems with Avatars or set parametres so that only standard .png, .jpg and .gif files can be used? Ditto for images in signatures.
