CIA Director David Petraeus resigns because of extramarital affair....this news just broke and I am wondering if I am the only one thinking that there is a conspiracy somewhere. This is a person issue why would it affect his job. I guess we will wait on the details.

Gen - that's what I recall as well. I know peeps in the military can get kicked out for having affairs based on this possibility, etc ...

We don't know the situation and it is personal between him and his wife but if every person who had an affair was to resign from their job we may not have anyone working. Who is to say his wife was not having an affair. I cannot judge his morality but I think everyone one us cannot claim we do not have moments when we have not demonstrating self-control.
