The former voice of Sesame Street character Elmo is facing a third lawsuit alleging an underage sexual relationship, according to report.
Puppeteer Kevin Clash, who has been accused of sexual abuse by two other men in the last two weeks, has allegedly been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old in 2000.
According to NYdailynews the now 29-year-old accuser's lawyer, Jeff Herman,
confirmed that his client will be filing a suit in Manhattan Federal Court today.
A spokeswoman for the puppeteer reportedly said: “Mr. Clash believes this lawsuit has no merit.”
Herman was said to have claimed that his client started writing a book in 2009 describing his experience with the father-of-two, whom he allegedly met on a 'gay chat line' when he came to New York '13 years ago'.
Herman said the accuser was invited by Clash to his apartment, where they were believed to have engaged in 'some sexual activity'.
The news comes after Clash's first accuser, Sheldon Stephens, alleged that he was ‘pressured’ into recanting his story.
According to TMZ, who recently cleared Kevin Clash of the sexual abuse allegations in a public statement via his lawyer, said he was made to accept a settlement of $125,000.
