Yes – most of this is correct – but, my uncle was harmed. I see they finally managed to spell "GAYLE" properly and no longer doing Gale or Gail.

Because the power bills have been so so high the past couple years ( – and I mean HIGH; pure estimated bills thru the roof. One month they locked up and went to SavLaMar for 3 weeks. The following bill was higher than the previous! This fall, he's been looking into solar panels but the cost … !) they started doing chickens, raising, sell, help with extra $. The property is a good size and is at the side/back of the house. When done for the day and coming home, first thing he does is check the coob. Make sure everything is ok. Hell when I was was out there the other day, mi checki coob.

So when they came home last night, it was like autopilot - "go checki coob" …

And yes – this is my same Aunt Lilly I wrote about here in August.

So effin done with JA it's not even funny.

Gunmen kill two in St Mary

ST MARY, Jamaica — Two people were shot dead by gunmen in Farm Pen, near Gayle in St Mary Wednesday in a robbery at about 8:55pm.

Dead are businesswoman Lilly-Maye Burton-Anderson and farmer Winston Brown both of the community.
Reports are that Anderson had just returned home from her business establishment when the incident occurred.
According to the Gayle police, two armed men pounced on Anderson as she entered her house. She raised an alarm and her neighbour, Brown, went to her assistance.

They were both shot. They were taken to the Port Maria Hospital where they were both pronounced dead
The men reportedly robbed them of three cellphones, several phone cards and an undetermined sum of money.

Unconfirmed reports are that Anderson had returned home with her husband who had gone to the back of their premises when the attack occurred. He was not harmed.

The gunmen reportedly escaped in nearby bushes. The St Mary police continue investigations

God Fearing, decent, humble - good woman. Gone - just like that ...

I'm so damn effin thru with this place - I'm of the firm belief, that no justice, no good ... will come to Jamaica in my lifetime.

Blu, Evano, WW - Diplo, Pepper, Tanya, Gen, X ... thank you - thank you everyone actually. Nun, Sis, ILP - I really appreciate it. Thank you for the thoughts. I cant even believe I'm on the board - maybe it's just autopilot. My head is in a fog, my husband is devastated. I had to go to work yesterday but I couldn't make it in today so I just stayed home - hubby went to work but only lasted 3 hours before coming back home. He thought getting out of the house was going to help him but it didn't. Neither one of us knows what to do. We can't make any move now until all the details are sorted but we only know that we're both going to go down. Him longer than me. I dont want to be in JA one single millisecond than I have to. We had a ridiculous but serious argument over this today because he's going to take a leave of absence and go for 2 or 3 weeks. I dont want him down there 2 or 3 days.

It's been hard watching the CVM news and seeing the police actually GOING thru the house. Not easy ...

No lead on anything as yet. No word from the police. Nothing. Things in Jamaica are so ****ing ridiculous it's not even believable.

Behind every single headline you see in the paper or tv when someone is killed, there is a devastation so deep, there arent words for it.

I was in Jamaica when this happened and oddly enough I was on the phone talking to a friend saying how things seem really quiet with not much news about crime and how I feel safe moving around when this story came on TVJ news. Talk too soon I guess. The story (TVJ) did on your aunt and interviews with people saying how respected and loved she was in the community was very moving.
