Was Kevin Right or wrong to have walk off?
Should he be penalise?
Should ACMilan be punished for his behaviour or should rowdy fans be booted and or banned?
I do support kevin but the head of FIFA seems to think it is a cop-out....is it?
Back in the days when I was an avid soccer fan players being heckled was a part of the game so much so that whenever my team would face down teams like Tivoli, Dunkirk etc the coach would tell us to congregate behind our goalie...as a physical show of support and protection from missiles projectiles and insults of various sorts that would be tossed hurled or shouted at him
Blatter, the Fifa president, insisted Boateng’s response was not “the solution” and has even warned clubs they risk forfeiting matches if there is a repeat of the incident that earned the former Spurs and Portsmouth player widespread acclaim last week.
Boateng led his Milan team-mates from the field during a friendly match at lower-league side Pro Patria after being subjected to racist chanting from a section of the home fans. He later insisted he would also walk off in a competitive match if he suffered a similar ordeal.
Blatter, who has been criticised frequently over the years for his stance on racism, is facing further scrutiny after admitting that while football must take a “zero tolerance” approach, he also suggested that clubs should have to forfeit matches if their players force their abandonment, whatever the reason.
Blatter said: “Walk off? No. I don’t think that is the solution. But the Italian federation has yet to provide Fifa with a report detailing what exactly has happened. I don’t think you can run away, because then the team should have to forfeit the match.
