Is this appropriate in the church? There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this church Bishop's action.

So I watched all 8 minutes and 16 seconds of this and didn't see any controversy. At the end of the video, I saw the title of link, so me go back and FF to the couple minutes of relevance. Nutten was lined up, and so what if it was? People a tek di fear of gays thing too far. KMT7/5th of all people do not understand fractions. -

I watched the video and though I'm confused about the death ritual, I personally saw nothing sexual about it.

wow. powerful. actually made me cry a bit at the end. a lot of themes in that ritual - submission, symbolic death and rebirth, transfer of the spirit through laying on (usually of hands, but of body, it seems, in this case). entirely possible there is homoerotic subcomponent. i wouldnt see that as contrary to the consecration process, but i'm an old heathen.Comment

The only crime I see in that video is a group of a race of people who continue to embrace a religion that was used to justify the enslavement of their ancestors.

How is the congregation edified or God glorified by this unbiblical practice ? This is exactly what is preached against in 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
When pastors waste their time with these kinds of "stage shows" at the altar they contribute to Biblical illiteracy in the pews.Comment
