Jamaicans attacked at Carnival in Trinidad

Two Jamaicans including the daughter of JFJ’s executive director, Dr. Carolyn Gomes, are being treated for stab wounds they sustained after being held up and robbed during a Carnival event in Trinidad.
The second person is said to be the son of a Corporate Area businessman.
He is still in hospital being treated for a wound to the chest.
Dr. Gomes told RJR News that the stabbing took place on Tuesday night.
“My daughter and her companion were robbed at knife point in Trinidad on the night of Carnival – Tuesday night. Both were cut up; both were injured and had to go to the hospital. Fortunately both are expected to recover,” said Dr. Gomes.
