i know florida is kind of strange altogether<--- from reading this board --- but some guy was shot by his dog, some girl was shot by her friend's oven, some guy shot himself in the groin with a flare gun.

The brilliant one with the oven turn it on without checking inside. The ammo was stored in the oven for safe keeping. That one really have nothing to do with guns and is more stupidity. No different than storing the plastic containers inside.

The dog one...dog was sick of him owner, but him should have been arrested too for aggravated assault. Edit: with a gun.

The other fool with the flare gun violated just about every gun safety rule out there. Hope him learn him lesson.

'Noda fool. Since my ex used to store stuff in the oven, I always checked before turning it on. Even the storage underneath I used to remove the stuff before using the oven.

It wasn't a gun. It was ammunition. Heat, + primer + gun power = BANG!

Edit: There is actually a 'safe storage' law according the online statutes, but it has to do with minors under 18. If a minor does damage, the adult is responsible and can be charged and/or fined.
