I don't usually celebrate St. Patrick's Say but my girlfriend is of Irish descent.
Also, this is the first and last time I ever draw a leprechaun holding a basketball. Little did I know it'll remind me that much of my most hated team. Not my intention at all (anyhow, not the best time to write books on how much I dislike the greenest NBA franchise).

When we were kids, there was a St. Patrick's Day Parade in Montreal every year and my parents used to take us. I guess you would feel that was a mistake, right?

I am not clear on what you celebrate, only what you don't. I see you bunning a whole lot of fiyah and the only time I see you giving greetings is on birthdays but that is about it. Why do you call them earthdays? Do you celebrate Jamaican Independence Day, National Heroes Day, Marcus Garvey's Birthday.

Oh my folks used to take us to the Santa Claus Parade. In Montreal, St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Santa Claus Parade and St. Jean Baptiste were really big deals and most people turned out for them.

I have taken my son only once to the Santa Claus parade but I told him from Day 1 it was all pretend and make believe. I didn't want him to feel I had lied to him about that and then wonder if other things I had told him, like about Jesus and the Bible were true. I have never taken him to any St. Patrick's Day event and I don't think I have ever even mentioned it to him.

jamaica is not independent so there is nothing to celebrate, heroes day is a waste a time since all de werk they have done ppl don't respect enough to continue the work. I may buss a few chune in honor of Marcus but mi nah hold no special ting weh mi a goat an buy candle an put on special clothes an ting. Fi wah?

course we should celebrate St Paddy's day as the Irish affectionately call him..... (not St Patty's)..... Any method of encouraging the consumption of the Black Stuff should be celebrated...! But there is something every person should do... and that is to drink a Pint of Guinness in Ireland.... it is sublime there, sherry like... I had a few by the Liffey looking at the Guinness boat (A boat that use to transport Guinness to England)


also under one tradition St Patrick was either a Ethiopian or Lebanese or turkish...And he had been kidnapped and sold as a slave....then the master freed him due to being impressed with his piety... or is that the St David myth....)

On Friday read a dissertation on the various ways Americans disrespect the St. Patrick's Day tradition, and one of them is by calling it St Patty's Day instead of St Paddy's Day (or even St. Pat's Day). Another way is to order a Black and Tan instead of a half and half.

On the matter of Guiness, i'm told that for us on calorie reduced regimens, a Guiness is better than a beer.
