Deported for being too handsome?

I currently reside in Saudi Arabia, it may be a sexually repressed nation on the surface, but EVERY weekend about 90% of Saudi men and 1 third of Saudi women hit Bahrain (just a short drive over the bridge) to "take care of business".

I have been in Bahrain over a week end waiting for visas and have had a few alcoholic beverages with Saudis... Had one memorable night in Qatar with a Saudis guy I met at the bar when I was drinking with a couple uk engineers.. He paid for the booze and food... and the rest for the other guys...

There is a booklet called in Saudi called "the blue flame" before the internet it was much that was much photo copied, There is a blue lithographed version... it was reputed to have been developed by a Saudi organisation for its expats....

Now in my old age I go for quality booze than quantity.. But more interesting ly back in the 80's under Zia al Hauk u had to declare ur self an alcoholic to be able to buy booze... (and a drug addict to get drugs!)





As for Bahrain more interesting is their former head of police who was responsible for massacres in the Mau Mau insurrection.....

Still I have been deported for being too ugly!

Never took you for a drunkard and a bootlegger Wahalla. I worked with a group from Bharain (outside the country) and they made it clear "We don't want Halal food and we WILL drink alcohol"..and trust me they did.

Saudi men arrested for 'flirting'


Prosecutors in Saudi Arabia have begun investigating 57 young men who were arrested on Thursday for flirting with girls at shopping centres in Mecca.
The men are accused of wearing indecent clothes,

I wonder what this means...perhaps they were briefless under those robes.

.....playing loud music and dancing in order to attract the attention of girls, the Saudi Gazette reported.

Sounds like normal teenage male behaviour to me.

They were arrested following a request of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.


The mutaween enforce Saudi Arabia's conservative brand of Islam, Wahhabism.


Earlier in the month, the authorities enforced a ban on the sale of red roses and other symbols used in many countries to mark Valentine's Day.
The ban is partly because of the connection with a "pagan Christian holiday", and also because the festival itself is seen as encouraging relations between the sexes outside marriage, punishable by law in the kingdom.


The Prosecution and Investigation Commission said it had received reports of such "bad" behaviour by 57 young men at a number of shopping centres in the holy city of Mecca, the Saudi Gazette said.

The guardians of some of the men defended their actions, however, saying they would regularly get together at the weekend to have fun without ever violating laws governing the segregation of the sexes, it added.

You know Saudi Arabia is different but I have been in Muslim countries during the weeks leading up to Christmas and it is amazing how they go all out with the Christmas decorations.

Yes, I had heard of this "book" which to many has become a bible (sorry Tropi!), and work for the Saudi organisation, who it is reputed, developed it.

Most of the stuff made here is total rot gut and not worth the risk to health or livelihood! Our most prolific bootlegger was caught and deported just a couple of weeks ago. He will be greatly missed at parties!

Tropi, do you really think that the fact their wives are present makes any difference?

This is not surprising. I have worked with groups from Saudi and Sudan (another repressed area). When they have a chance to cut loose, they do....unless of course the wife is along.

Yes I notice that they will ask for a belly dancer but if the CEO decides wives are to join the group, it's a MAD panic and the belly dancer gets cancelled.

Of course shisha is mandatory but then that's another story. I had never tried it despite many opportunities until one of the Saudi wives really leaned on me and insisted. I didn't like it at all. I have never belly danced for any of my Middle Eastern clients though. My belly dancing is reserved for Ja.com and Mr. T. whenever he comes into being......I have the thing that goes around de miggle but mi need to practice. One of these times when mi is ovah soh mi should tek lessons. Mi ave abaya too now. I guess the trick is to start with abaya and end in belly dancing outfit. I hope htat isn't too kinky.
