A Miramar man is accused of armed kidnapping, aggravated assault and other charges after he bit his girlfriend's genitalia and held her against her will for a week, Miramar Police said.
Nelson Humberto Guerrero, 28, was arrested Saturday after a victim said that on Tuesday, April 23, she was with Guerrero at a Hialeah motel when they argued about his infidelity, a complaint affidavit states.
The couple's argument became physical and Guerrero "bit a chunk of the victim's vagina," the report states.
Her injuries appear to be consistent with what she alleges occurred," Miramar Police spokeswoman Tania Rues said.
The couple dated for four years and knew each other for 18 years, police said.
tate records show Guerrero was married to a different woman in 2003 but do not show whether he may be divorced.
The Sun Sentinel is not naming the victim because of the nature of the alleged offenses.
The woman was in pain after being bitten but Guerrero would not take her to a hospital, fearing arrest, police said.
Instead, Guerrero took her to his home on the 8700 block of N. Sherman Circle in Miramar and kept her there for approximately a week. Every time the victim asked to leave or tried to flee, he would beat her, investigators said.
Injuries to the woman include being kicked, slapped, punched and burned with a cigarette on her arm and face, police said.
The woman was also stabbed in her hand and had an AK-47 assault rifle pointed at her head, the report states.
"The investigation is continuing," Rues said.
Police have not said how the victim was able to escape.
Guerrero is being held without bond at a Broward County jail on charges of kidnapping, inflicting bodily harm upon or to terrorize a victim.
