yes. symbolic vote. they cannot force the mayor to leave, and he says he aint going nowhere. he can only be removed if he is charged and convicted of a crime, and the only reason he would be removed is if his criminal sentence means he has to miss a certain number of council meetings.Originally posted by Gen View Post

And people it seem, are now saying he's kept his political promises so what if he likes to 'do a little coke' or get 's_ faced' - apparently these things are a Canadian past-time.
So while many consider him an embarrassment, many are starting to say that he's adding a bit of colour (sic) to Canadian politics. More and more young people are identifying with him. And it's their opinions that count, since they're the ones that vote.Comment

Who knows who has what holding over the Mayors head. He is a person in a position of power who has opened himself up to extortion or threats unless he uses his powers to do this or that.
For the integrity of the office he holds he needs to resign.Comment
