After the ceremony at the Episcopal church, a coterie of the politician's closest friends were shuttled to the California Academy of Sciences for the reception. Guests were seen enjoying an elegant meal around a long table, with the happy couple seated in the middle.
Jack changed into a white tuxedo for the fête - and then swept his bride, who changed into an white evening gown, across the dance floor.

I give Macain lots of props.. I know it is unfashionalbe on here. I listened to Macain give the Raith lecture I beleive it was in 2003/2004 years before he ran for President and he struck me as fair centralist politician. He was the first Republican who acknowledge publicly the possiblity of the effect of co2 on the enviroment. He understood the difficulty of enagagement in the Middle east, he identified then the restrainst of the jewish lobby, and its contradictions. ...I thought during the campaign he very uncomfortable when a lady attacked Barry in the code language of racism... "He was a muslim and he was evil". I never realised that he had adopted a Bangladeshi daughter and I realized that for a reasonably smart man the connections for his daughter ancestral religion . His wife literally found her in an orphanage, suffering from a disfigurement that has been cured through surgery not on a commercial adoption.

the current school of thought in some circles is that 2013 McCain is a far different person than 2003/2004 McCain. ..they don't even think the two have met each other.

John McCain has done honorable things as a politician. He can be gracious and he can be reasonable. The thing with John is that you never know what he's gonna say next ... and I think it is best that he spends the rest of his political life being where he is by working to move the GOP back to its roots - even as he made a very BIG mistake with that Sarah Palin embarrassing episode two elections ago. That hurt him.
