Foreigner robbed of $437k in New Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two men held up and robbed a visitor to the island of $437,500 at a hotel in Kingston Monday, the police reported.
The New Kingston Police say that about 12:40 pm the two men, one armed with a firearm, robbed the foreign national of the money and other valuables before making their escape in nearby communities.

The woman was taken to hospital where she was treated and released.
Anyone with information that can assist the New Kingston Police in locating the crooks are being asked to contact them at 926-3508, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

At least it was not a killing. It could have been so much worse.

Looking for assistance, but it would have been good if they gave the location of the incident. Sometimes I have to wonder about journalism in Jamaica.

well it took place at some hotel in New kingston. i guess the hotel ask the paper not to use them name....? or the reporter just like being vague.

if a gunman looking to rob ppl ,I wonder what reason him would have to think think that holding up some woman at a new kingston hotel middle day would be profitable. somebody tell dem she jus draw money from bank? somebody tell dem sey she carry cash to pay for sumtin?
