What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. Tonight is the big Miss USA 2013 competition. On this June 16 show, Miss Utahmade it to the question portion of the show which meant she was in the top 5, but she didn't do very well at this part. NeNe Leakes of "RHOA" asked her a question and it just went downhill after that for her.

NeNe said: "A recent report shows that in 40% of American families with children women are the primary earners yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?" The entire answer she gave was a mess and didn't even make sense. She also got tongue tied in a few places.Miss Utah started out talking about education and how we are striving to figure out how to create jobs. The two do not go together at all really. Then she moved on to say that men are seen as the leaders of this and they need to create education better. Do you understand what she meant with this answer?
She did make it to the final five, but after this answer Miss Utah was done with her time on the Miss USA 2013 pageant. She did end up getting third runner-up though.

It would make sense for beauty pageant contestants to look up to contestants from past pageants. They can look to them for inspiration on poise, presentation and even how they handle the question-and-answer portion. That said, they probably shouldn't be looking to Miss Teen South Carolina 2007, Caitlin Upton -- she of the infamous "the Iraq everywhere like such as..." And yet, Miss Utah seemed to be channeling Upton when she answered a question on "The 2013 Miss USA Pageant."

Marissa Powell, 21-years old, was powering her way through the competition when she hit a major roadblock. She was asked about how women are continuing to earn less than men in America, and what she thinks that means for our society.
"How to create jobs right now, that is the biggest problem right now, and I think especially the men are seen as leaders of this and so we need to figure out how to create education better so we can solve this problem," Powell answered.
Huh?
The Kansas City Star defended Marissa, seeming to take issue with the question. "They were not cream puff questions," they wrote. "What happened to those questions about world peace?” But Deadspin was less forgiving, calling this the worst answer since Miss Upton bombed in 2007.
Let's compare.

That answer will never be beaten. Sorry Miss Utah. At least it didn't hurt her too much. Powell still managed to secure 3rd Runner-Up status at the pageant.

So what has Miss Upton been up to. Not the brightest bulb in the box but it has not hurt her career. She has done modelling, she has been on Amazing Race and she has her own TV shows. She still hasn't married a rich man but she is only 24....give her time.

The judges and auditors weren't bright. They made a mistake and crowned the wrong contestant.

Miss Universe Canada Crowns Wrong Contestant

On Saturday night, Denise Garrido had the crown, the sash and all the glory that comes with being crowned 2013 Miss Universe Canada.
Twenty-four hours later, Garrido’s crown was gone and placed on the head of another Canadian woman after the revelation that a pageant employee’s typo had crowned the wrong woman.
“I was shocked and disappointed and kind of embarrassed because of all of the celebrations and congratulatory messages I’d received,” Garrido told ABCNews.com of the moment Sunday when she was shown the correct scores by Miss Universe Canada national director Denis Davila .
“I knew it wasn’t my fault,” she said. “I have no bitterness or anger or resentment towards the organization at all. They’ve been very transparent.”
The newly crowned Miss Universe Canada is Riza Santos, a 26-year-old engineering student from Calgary, who found out she was the real winner Monday while unwinding from the pageant stress poolside in Las Vegas.
“I was sitting by the pool at my hotel,” Santos, who could not be reached today, told her local newspaper, the Calgary Herald. “I had to go to a washroom so I could hear [Davila], the music was so loud by the pool. He asked, ‘Are you sitting down?’ So I sat on the sink.”
“I was in a complete state of shock,” she said.
Santos was originally named first runner-up in the pageant, the winner of which goes on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. On Sunday, the pageant completed a third-party audit comparing the judges’ handwritten scores with the inputted computer scores, the same process the pageant follows every year. It was during the audit that the human error was discovered, moving Garrido down from pageant queen to third runner-up.
“A typo was discovered in the top 5 entries, which significantly impacted the final results of the competition,” Davila said in a statement. “This is the first instance of this type of error in the 11 years that Beauties of Canada (BOC) has produced the Miss Universe Canada pageant.”
Pageant officials decided it was best to quickly admit their mistake and honor the judges’ decision, according to a spokesman. Pageant director Davila personally sat down with Garrido on Sunday and showed her the judges’ handwritten scores and where the error occurred.
“I’m still considering myself an extremely lucky individual who got to experience being crowned Miss Universe Canada,” Garrido said. “I got to fulfill that dream. Sure it was only 24 hours, but I got to fulfill that dream.”
Garrido, 26, cannot compete in the pageant again due to age-eligibility requirements. She accepted the pageant’s offer to be a judge at next year’s competition and will be included in Miss Universe Canada Organization activities throughout the year, according to pageant officials.
Santos, meanwhile, will spend the year preparing to represent Canada in the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, the date and location of which have not yet been announced. Garrido spoke to Santos for the first time since the pageant today and said there is no ill will between the two.
“I got to be crowned and she now gets to live the year as Miss Universe Canada,” she said. “I think this has been a bonding experience for the two of us.”

Miss Connecticut Erin Brady may be crowned Miss USA, but Miss Utah, Melissa Powell, is the real winner this year. Actually, we’re all winners thanks to the bumbling, stumbling, and idiotic answer she gave when asked about disparity between pay for women and men.Not since 2007 have the TV Gods shined upon us with such a blunder.
That’s when Caitlin Upton, better known as Miss Teen South Carolina, somehow brought South Africa, Iraq and Asia into the fold when asked why 20 percent of Americans couldn’t find the U.S. on a map. In her world, the U.S. educational system is supposed to help people abroad find America on the map, which in turn will solve this country’s geographical incompetency woes (we think).
“This was just radio gold for days,” E.B. said on the Junkies Monday morning.

Yes she definitely was. She won Miss Photogenic. She was one of the few who wore a fairly modest evening gown (Miss Connecticut did too). It was a case of absolutely lovely until she opened her mouth.
