By the way courier font, fyi, went out with the typewriters of old. It isn't even included in the drop down menu of fonts on this or ANY website anymore.

Forgive me for digging this up. But my administrative assistant just alerted me that I did not respond to Tropicana's legitimate query about the font, Courier.

Courier New is indeed on the drop down menu here and on many sites. As many of you know, when Gungo B. Peas writes, she prefers this understated elegant typeface that is common to court documents. Ms. Peas has a proclivity for writing legal documents and, well, old habits are hard to die. She sincerely apologizes for any eye aches this may cause.

My beloved readers, I am only responding to the courier query from Tropicana while choosing to disregard the other baiting from our resident M.B. Alas, dear readers, we know that Tropicana has a propensity to make wild claims that are more opinion than fact. Ms. Peas respects this and recognizes that, annoying though it may be, it is still a free forum after all.

New Courier does indeed appear on the drop down menu but NOT courier. A careful comparison of new courier with courier of old and font from a typewriter:








will reveal that clearly Ms GP is using this medieval contraption to compose her legal briefs:



I guess there is nothing wrong with that. I happen to love the colour pink miself. She is not doing any harm and....as they say.... different strokes for different folks (get it strokes...typewriter strokes).

All of us aren't in a position to invest in the latest technology. Also, MS GP may just prefer the traditional over the modern. Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

As for her remarks about baiting, coming from the resident QUEEN of baiting this is ....




I NEVER initiate ANY conversations with MS GP. Yet, all she know how fe do is peep-peep cluck-cluck follow me around and mek dutty, smutty, vulgah remarks (thoguht those were against board rules)....strange coming from a mod. At least now we ALL know why she does it.

This is beyond annoying and transcends totally into the realm of commedia dell'arte and farce.

I hope that now that she has been re-assured that she doesn't have a THING to worry about she will find other activities and other people to bother to help her pass her time....... because clearly she now ave nutten bettah fe do.

in the early days of my career, i used to love courier, because you could precisely measure spacing with the letters - i knew exactly which were em sized and which were en sized, and this was great when doing tabs and other precise spacing.
