Just saw this story. It reminds me of the last time I was in Jamaica. I went to see my cousin who now lives at my grandmother's old place and has a car repair business at the bottom of the hill on that property. A guy came by to see him. Met this guy for the first time and my cousin introduced us. After a few hours, we were heading back to Ochi. Suddenly, we buck up pon a major traffic delay. When we finally reached the point of the accident. Who did we see, the same guy with his tow truck, hitching up one of the vehicles involved in the accident.....a 3 year old had been killed. I keep hearing stories of young people being killed in car accidents. Canada is a much larger country and there seem to be far fewer young people and children killed in car accidents.
Wha mek?
Man seems like this is in the same area as the accident I just described.

Graduation Joy Turns Into Mourning
Twenty-year-old Jody-Ann Silvera died tragically on Thursday in a three-vehicle collision while she was on her way to a graduation.Reports are that Silvera, who lives in Islington, was visiting family members in Boscobel, St Mary, to attend her cousin's graduation.
While standing at a bus stop along the Boscobel main road, she stopped a Toyota Coaster bus, which was heading to Port Maria. At the same time, a truck loaded with marl reportedly got out of control and slammed into the back of a Toyota station wagon, sending it into the back of the Coaster bus causing it to overturn and hit Silvera.
With the assistance of a wrecker, her body, which was pinned between the truck and the bus, was eventually released, but the young woman suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
SEVERAL STUDENTS ON-BOARD
The Coaster bus was transporting mainly high-school students from Ocho Rios High and Iona High.
A woman, who said she was early on the scene and sought to give assistance, spoke with The Gleaner.
"The driver of the car and another old man were still stuck in the car and some persons tried to help them while some of the schoolchildren managed to free themselves from the bus. One girl, who was standing on the window, said she didn't want to come out because her friend was still stuck in the bus."
A visibly shaken Merr Nelson, sister of Silvera's aunt, told The Gleanerthat the young woman had just left her home to attend the graduation in Highgate.
"Mi did deh round a the yard and mi hear a big noise, and when mi come out here so, mi see what happen. Dem did stand up a the bus stop waiting for the bus when someone called Evan and she turn back, and as she walk weh from the bus stop this happen. Jody-Ann was a really nice person. Right now, mi not even know how mi feel," she explained.
The highway patrol took the passengers to the St Ann's Bay Hospital for treatment. Sixteen persons were said to be injured in the accident.
The motor car was extensively damaged and the two passengers who survived suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the truck is said to have fled the scene.
