"replace spring bolt and gasket kit, oxygen sensor gasket"
Dis noh clear? Dem hav whole heap ah springs inna di cyar. If ah di shocks him mean, dem noh hav gaskets, dem hav washers, an if it loose yuh tighten dem up. If ah di engine valve springs, dem noh hav gasket eida, dem hav washers. Ongle di rocker cover would hav wan big gasket.
Also why would di oxygen sensor bi good an its gasket bad, if noh baddi neva did touch di sensor? If smaddi touch di sensor, why dem neva replace di gasket den? Also most ah dem noh hav gasket, dem have a washer dat is part ah di sensor.
"Timing chains making excessive noise"
Usually yuh don't hear timing chains, yuh wi si di symptoms. Mi ask yuh before if yuh was havin any starting, or driveability/idle issues an yuh said, NO.
Matta of fact moas ah di cyars from 80's tuh now hav timing belts, not chain, an di belt definitely noh mek noh noise. Replacing engine timing parts is major work, an is very expensive.Last edited by j-kid; 08-21-2013, 09:53 PM.

Whatever he did yesterday, my car no longer sounds like the engine is about to explode.
Well I am definitely going to get a second opinion. Once someone told me I needed a new timing belt and when I got a second opinion it turned out that my car did not even have a timing belt.

Methinks this guy is milking me for all it's worth to get the money fi meet his wife's expensive tastes.
