KINGSTON, Jamaica — A policeman is suspected of attempting suicide in St Ann this morning.
Information regarding the incident is sketchy at this time but preliminary reports are that the cop allegedly shot himself in the head.
He was admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
This is the second suicide-related report involving the police in less than a week.
Late last week a policeman was found dead at his Eltham, St Catherine home with a gunshot to the mouth.
Police Commissioner Owen Ellington subsequently issued a statement urging cops to seek assistance if they have domestic problems.
