Jury composition in the USA

I have asked this a couple of times but no one has answered.

How can they get away with only using 6 jurors in the Trayvon Martin case?

Also, how can it possibly be permissible for them to end up with an all female jury with not even one Black person in such a high profile case involving the shooting of a Black young person? Why would the prosecution have even agreed to this?

The size of the jury is to provide a "cross-section" of the public. In Williams v. Florida, 399 U.S. 78 (1970), the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that a Florida state jury of six was sufficient, and that "the 12-man panel is not a necessary ingredient of "trial by jury," and that respondent's refusal to impanel more than the six members provided for by Florida law did not violate petitioner's Sixth Amendment rights as applied to the States through the Fourteenth."^[14]

Jury of peers is a joke. How many 20 year old Black youth will face a jury of their peers? No suh, mostly only "creepy azz crackers" serve on jury in US. Nobaddy else want to come any where near the court system if they can help it!

I have problems against any jury that is unbalanced. This jury is female, almost all White and almost all over 45. The one who isn't White is Latina and more likely to be sympathetic towards Zimmerman.

When I was called for jury duty I had no choice. There was nothing voluntary about it.
