from what i understand (and tropi is a woman weh mi find hard fi understand), tropi is saying that had she known the subject of the discussion was going to be privy to the convesation, then she would have chosen her words differently.
i think wat she is trying to get at (an to be honest i can totally understand her point) is that if she knows that the subject of her discussion will be reading and may possible comment, then she will be more mindful of what she says. its just human nature really. this thread has made me personally think about what i say. I know that i can be very judgmental in my own way. In light of this i have really had to think about some of the stories we discuss and how we judge and criticize the ppl in them without knowing the story.
we read about a mother in walmart who allowerd her kid to go to mcds with a total stranger who ended up raping the kid or soemthing so....neways right away i say that woman is stupid and she dis and she dat. but really, do i know how hungry she really was? do i know if she has a grain of salt in her house to feed the child at home? maybe she thought this guy was answer to her prayers. maybe she was so thankful that atleast tonight her baby wouldn't go to bed hungry....watever the real story is.
not sure if this is really wat tropi's beef is, but i know for me, if i had gone off and call this woman all kinds of stupid etc and hten she came on to explain herself i would feel like a real asshole....it would make me look "bad" . nobody wants to look "bad".

Untrue. I believe that Xavier did not state that Lonewolf's actions in this particular case were a violations of board rules. That is because the teacher's email is PUBLIC INFORMATION ON A PUBLIC WEBSITE (that of her university). Information cannot be may be lawful - by legal definition - be both private and public at the same time. The contact info for this professor was public information because it was published on a public website (that of the university where she worked). It therefore did not fit the criteria as priavate information. No board rule was violated.
