University student completing her Honours double major degree in Women’s Studies and English Literature. She also holds a Certificate in Writing and enjoys writing bold, daring and often humourous non-fiction memoirs, blog pieces and stage plays combining women’s issues with the intersections of racism, sex, relationships and violence. She has been published in AP Magazine, the Toronto Public Library’s
Young Voices Magazine as well as in the University of Western Ontario Women’s Studies
Tulips publication. Last year she directed a show on campus titled
Purple Sex, a series of monologues written by Western students, including herself, based on sexuality, gender, race, love, and oppression. She performed in UWO’s 2013 production of
The Vagina Monologues and this February, will be directing the show as well Ntozake Shange’s
For Colored Girls. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and updating her blog, The Mixed Chick Bible, for women of mixed heritage.
