they are acknowledged but is a waste a time to celebrate when the majority off ppl don't truly respect any of them cause if they did it would show in their movements and in their thinking.

Maybe if we celebrated the day and used the time to reflect on its true meaning, we wouldn't fritter away what our ancestors fought so hard for.

Speaking of Emancipation Day.....no one has ever been able to explain the origin of the expression "Free Papah Bun."

Is it referring to "manumission documentation". Was there an actual document that free Blacks carried during slavery? Did people try to destroy the papers and claim that the individuals were slaves.
