We are always talking about issues and problems but we do need to pause and remember how things have improved.
I have been speaking with a young cousin and she is completing university via an extension programme that UWI has. There are satellite campuses all over the island and online programmes with e-tutors. Certainly those opportunities were not available in my parents' day.
She is taking advantage of this and for sure her branch of the family has not had it easy. I am happy for her. It is unfortunate that her brother is not following her example.
