I caught part of the W5 documentary on him the other night but got fed up and turned it off. I nearly posted about him but didn't even know where to begin to explain him to people outside de tdot. They would likely figure that I was making it all up.

You see we have this chubby mayor in Toronto. He has been caught grabbing a woman's backside,

Former mayoral candidate Sarah Thomson is accusing Mayor Rob Ford of grabbing her buttocks and making inappropriate suggestions at a function Thursday night.Ms. Thomson posted a photo of her and the mayor on Facebook at the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee Action Party on Bay Street.
She included a caption underneath that read: “Thought it was a friendly hello to Toronto Mayor Rob Ford at the CJPAC Action Party tonight until he suggested I should have been in Florida with him last week because his wife wasn’t there. Seriously wanted to punch him in the face. Happy International Women’s Day!”
The post had been shared 466 times and elicited more than 300 comments by Friday morning. Ms. Thomson added some details herself in the comment section, saying she has “never seen [the mayor] so out of it.”
“I know I shouldn’t be EDIT but after spending 10 months on the campaign trail together you expect a little bit of respect at the very least for my husband,” she wrote.
Later she told a commenter, “guess where his hand was in this picture? I must go shower” and asked “Is grabbing someone EDIT assault?”
On the radio Friday morning, Ms. Thomson told Newstalk 1010 radio host John Moore: “He grabbed my EDIT and I’m thinking what the heck is going on with him? I was so mad about it because this is somebody who knows how much I do for this city.

driving while reading, giving the finger to someone who took a photo of him driving and reading,

and he has been drunk many times. Plus there was a court case......

Councillor Jaye Robinson is renewing her call for Mayor Rob Ford to temporarily step down and “get help” after watching videos that showed a reportedly slurring Ford at the Taste of the Danforth festival on Friday night.“Watching the videos, there’s no question the mayor exhibited questionable behaviour. For the good of the city, and the good of the mayor, he needs to take a break and get help,” Robinson (Ward 25, Don Valley West) said in an interview.

“There’s no doubt he has personal issues. There’s a pattern,” said Robinson, a member of Ford’s executive committee until he replaced her in June. “Many of us had hoped he had dealt with the issues but obviously, looking at those videos, that’s not the case.”

And now, Ford is the inspiration for a new half-hour TV series on FOX debuting this fall called, the Crowd Funder Show.

Created by writer Jordan Whelan, who has written columns for the Toronto Sun, it looks at the relationship between funders and kickstarter projects.

“After watching Gawker’s Indiegogo campaign successfully raise enough money to purchase what was thought to be a video of Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine, I was in awe,” Whelan said in a column for Huffington Post Canada. “To think that thousands would fund the unproven with their sole reward being intrinsic, well, that set my gears grinding.”

On Monday, the mayor’s brother, councillor Doug Ford, said he hadn’t read the Globe report on the jail visit. He refused to respond and directed questions to the mayor.
“I don’t even know who Bruno Bellissimo is,” Mr. Ford said.

The mayor has yet to give an explanation for the jail visit, but his deputy mayor Doug Holyday addressed the visit at city hall, saying the mayor was likely trying to help out.
"I can believe the mayor would go to visit someone in jail if it was someone that he knew and someone that he was concerned about," Mr. Holyday said. "Maybe the family was concerned and asked him to do it. That's just the way the mayor is. He goes to a lot of places, sees a lot of people and tries to help as best he can."
He added he has not spoken to the mayor yet today.

At around 7 p.m. on March 25, about three hours after official visiting hours, Mr. Ford arrived unannounced at the Toronto West Detention Centre and asked if he could have a tour of the jail, four sources with knowledge of aspects of the incident said. After the tour request was declined, the mayor indicated he wanted to meet with Mr. Bellissimo, a source in the correctional system, as well as Mr. Bellissimo’s mother, Maria Bellissimo, said in interviews.

Ralph Klein was a raving alcoholic but he was a very popular mayor of Calgary and later the Premier of Alberta.
