The fact that you have heard her speak out against all the acts you have listed above, is proof enough that she was in no way, no shape or form impeded from speaking her mind.
Her low-class behaivour at the Grand Gala event was a huge problem. She spoke freely on the taxpayers dime and she was criticized for it.

incorrect information....the media claimed 200,000 perished (not "millions") in the wello famine---"millions" would be under col. mengistu (USA for Africa "we are the world")..

If one person died of famine, that would be on two many!

the USA has states right now that have freed up the cannabis in some capacity---last few US presidents have used it...i agree that some ones have promoted its use irresponsibly but some of that is reaction to unreasonable gov't persecution of said...just keep alcohol prohibition in mind...

Yes and I agree a lot of the speaking out and smoking out has been a response to undue State pressure and the decades of State sponsored wars on drugs.

Religious folks in Jamaica have expressly stated in various fora that they are not into politics.
Rastas are waiting to go to their ancestral homes in Africa (and maybe eventually Heaven from there).
Christians and waiting for the body to be transformed whereupon they will enter into Heaven and be seated on the right side of the Jesus.
Some are even saying that there will come a rapture and they will be directly lifted up Heavenwards (mp need for body transformation).

..it is the jamaican gov'ts that have had zero care about jamaica...it is the elite, the criminals & corrupt cops & forces who have zero care about jamaica...the rastas are just the convenient scapegoats

If you don't vote, don't participate in Elections, don't want to overstand or hear anything about Government......Then you vote is for elite criminals, corrupt cops and corrupt Government Officials.
All our problems in Jamaica can be solved by the Political process if the large group of Jamaicans (Religious nuts), who itinually abstain and refuse, come to their senses, start loving Jamaica.

i don't know how many rasta you know but you seem to toe the line of old-time university studies on the movement---popular sayings that have been taken as tenets of the movement when in fact some are just recycled sayings & not the current reality on the ground; rastafari has transformed jamaica on a cultural & political level more than any other movements combined;
the people are on to something because since independence we have had politrix & the country has steadily declined throughout all the politics---yet we continue the same ****stem---the definition of insanity--- rastafari is still the object of ridicule & scorn & mockery in jamaica & the gov't has no interest in seriously exploring issues that rastafari brings up, hence deliberate political as well as cultural marginalization

Hundreds. I grew up next door a Rasta Yard (it was one yard, just different gates). Was a Rasta.
Name any prominent Rasta of the last 30 years and they must have visited the Yard where I grew up and two more locations in our area. So I have listened to hours and hours of reasoning on Rastafarianism.
