Thought it was time I threw this open as a separate topic as time and time again, I notice in discussions, not with the women but with some of the men, that when data and information is presented from scientific studies, census bureaus and bonafide journalistic sources, it is dismissed as bogus and the tools of Babylon (my paraphrasing). Instead more weight is put on unverifiable anecdotal evidence. This comes up whenever we discuss issues like ganja, statistical imbalance between Black males and Black Females and economic topics, and even how many Taino are left in Jamaica. (Official censuses have said 0 for hundreds of years.)
It's one thing to be sceptical but to reject just all official, media and scientific sources seems extreme. I just don't see how one can dismiss just about all data from scientific and official sources and put much weight on unverifiable anecdotal evidence from any Tom, Dick and Harry. I don't get where some a onoo a come from. Break it down fi me....please.
