Health Care Law

Most voters still don't like the health care law, and 54% expect it to increase, not reduce, health care costs. From the beginning of the debate over the law four years ago, voters have consistently said that cost is their number one health care concern.
Thirty percent (30%) believe the nation’s health care system will get better under the new law, the most positive assessment to date. Fifty-one percent (51%) still think the law will make the health care system worse.

Health Care Law

With a federal government shutdown looming tonight at midnight, House Republicans are proposing a short-term budget that would delay the individual mandate a year, but Senate Democrats are unlikely to agree. In surveying earlier this month, 56% of voters agreed a shutdown would be bad for the economy, but 51% were willing to risk a shutdown until Democrats and Republicans agree on what spending for the health care law to cut. Rasmussen Reports will release new numbers on the shutdown at 10:30 am Eastern today.

As it turns out, Reverend Wright had it right all along

It amuses me of how the US with a majority white population voted in a HALF black man, that it is racism that prevents him from suceeding as president of the US, and not that Obama lacks the mental faculties of basic leadership skills.

And Obama cut ties with Wright because it was political suicide to be affiliated with a known racist...of course Obama got a free pass because he was black, but if a white presidential candidate would have been associated with a racist white preacher spewing hate, he would have been run out of politics on a rail...just more of the racial double standard.

I can't argue that point. If more Americans understood what was going on, they would demand that both parties stop bickering and do the job that they were elected to do.

And like it or not. The Tea Party candidates are the ONLY ONES that are doing what they were elected to do.
They said that they were going to do this and they have kept their promise to the people that elected them.

In an astounding confrontation that took place yesterday at the World War II Memorial in DC, a Tea Party congressman from Texas appeared to blame the Park Service for denying veterans access to the facility — and then made a Park Ranger apologize for the shutdown.

"How do you look at them and ... deny them access?" Rep. Randy Neugebauer asked the unidentified Ranger in an incredible exchange that was caught on camera by NBC Washington.

In fact, the Park Service has been invoking the First Amendment in order to allow vets into the memorial despite the shutdown making it illegal for the department to do so.

"It's difficult," the Ranger replied. "Well, it should be difficult," scorned the congressman. "It is difficult," the Ranger repeated. "I'm sorry, sir."

"The Park Service should be ashamed of themselves," said Neugebauer. "I'm not ashamed," the Ranger retorted.

"You should be," sneered Neugebauer.

The good news is that, despite the GOP's best efforts to divert blame to literally anybody else, most Americans know full well who's truly to blame.

A just-released CBS News poll found that 44% fault the Republicans for the shutdown, while 35% fault Obama and the Dems.

Meanwhile, a whopping 72% disapprove of holding the entire budget hostage over Obamacare, including nearly 50% of all Republicans surveyed.

The day before he was taped harassing a Park Ranger for doing her job, Neugebauer went on The Chad Hasty Show to state that he will keep the government shut down for "as long as it takes" to ensure that Obamacare is not funded, claiming it was the will of the American people.

How many of you have been to the WW 2 Memorial in Washington DC? If you had visited the Memorial, you would know and understand that the park has no fences, no gates, no boundaries etc. ITS AN OPEN AIR PARK! THERE IS NOTHING TO CLOSE BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO OPEN! It's not guarded or for that much specifically monitored.(as it pertains to secure sights in DC) I've been there, I know the landscape.

It took money and effort to place barriers and position park rangers to close up that memorial. The Memorial is something that you can walk through 24hrs a day and 365 days a year as it is accessed from pedestrian sidewalks that run hrough the heart of Washington DC.

BUT! That said, it was not the park rangers fault. They were obeying orders, and these orders came from the administration. Neugebauer was wrong for putting blame on park service employees.They were only doing their job.

OBAMA SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF AND IF HE WAS ANY TYPE OF MAN, HE WOULD ORDER THE BARRICADES REMOVED. THIS IS SHAMEFUL ...RIGHT IS RIGHT AND WRONG IS WRONG, AND THIS IS WRONG!

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, "We don't have guards around them at any other time," King said of the monuments in a conference call with reporters Tuesday afternoon.
He referred to the gating off of the memorial as "a completely spiteful act," by President Obama, comparing it to the White House canceling school tours in the aftermath of the automatic budget cuts of the sequester. "Perhaps the most bitter, spiteful act ever committed by a commander in chief."
When asked why Obama would personally order the memorial closed off, King said he couldn't get into the president's head. But "the secretary of the Interior is not going to make such a spiteful decision," he said. "This has to be a White House decision."

Some Republican members of Congress and a Democratic senator were on site, blasting the federal government for fencing off the memorial. Outraged and baffled, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, crossed through an opening in the railing earlier in the morning–before the breach–and got on the phone to try and reach the secretary of the Department of Interior.
"I don't get it. I'm furious. I'm trying to get a hold of people," he said, standing on the other side of the barricade and looking around for help. "But I can't seem to get a hold of anybody
"Obviously I can walk here," Harkin said, as he walked past the barrier. "Why can't I walk there?" he added, pointing at the memorial located not far away

The WWII memorial is operated by the national parks service. Even though it is open access park, the national parks service has had people there 24hrs a day to make sure it is a safe place to visit. If the national parks service is not there to ensure it is a safe place to visit, it gets shut down.
