For trafficking though, punishments should remain the same but they should not be higher than punishments for cocaine, LSD etc.

Did you mean if it is not natural people should not smoke? If so, if someone planted their own seed, and used their own soil would that be more natural? Or are you referring the chemicals that are in the ganja plant,are not good for the brain?

If you grow & eat your own veggies, I guess you can grow your own weed (illegal I know) and that would give the user some measure of control as opposed to buying. And yes I remember hearing how certain ganja used to mad people..

no drinking the tea the hallucinogenic effects are not as profound.... depending on the amount... its alegesic effects are ,,,

it also dends if it is indica or satavia... male or female part of the plant..

to me the chemisty is fascinating....

But my concern is that this is a distraction once more.....every few years in Jamaica it comes up and is shot down and invariably it comes at a time the goverment wants to distract from the economic performance.... And I cant wait till we see a Prime Minister light up a spliff and confess that he or she ah buun weed fram dem yeye deh ah dem knee.....again i am concerned that we will be importing the stuff soon,.. weed cultivation the Jamaican style is labour intesive...
