Reports are that about 3 p.m., persons gathered in the Planters Community Church to pay their last respects to an elderly man.
A relative went to the podium and started to read the eulogy.
A stepson of the deceased objected to parts of the account on the deceased man's life.
He attacked the female reader and a stand-off ensued.
The problem persisted even to the graveside in the rural community which is situated outside Old Harbour.
During this episode, family members clashed resulted in many receiving injuries.
The body was eventually laid to rest after some intervention by personnel from the Old Harbour Police Station, who have since launched an investigation into the matter.
