but I would stop you here and say I do not present any ideas about God at all. I am only discussing ideas which are being claimed.

As such, it becomes quickly apparent if what someone is saying about God is absurd.

I may be mistaken about God. That is of course entirely possible.

But insomuch as people claim for god the following criteria, I can not be mistaken- omnipotence, omniscience, and omnibenevolence.

God can not be all three, else there would be no suffering or evil on the scale with which we are experiencing it.

I fully concur with this statement. If god is not within us and we are not God, then what is the point. Jesus himself taught this doctrine.

is the manufacturer omnipotent and omniscient? if he is then the answer is yes, he can stop an accident. if he is benevolent, then he must intervene, unless it can be shown that in some way the accident must happen for the better good. still, if he is omniscient, he would know a way to make all possible outcomes that did not require suffering, come to pass.

to me what you speak of is hocus pocus magic and unrealistic...
omnipotent does not mean a guy watching everything as it goes down &amp; manipulating it...it just means ever-present at all times, with strict laws that must be obeyed for certain things to happen...
i don't think of it in terms of a single person or being...the best way i can describe it is as an order...

no-- by my logic once something is made it is subject to wear &amp; tear by the user or the elements or other external forces...
we still don't fully understand how the earth operates...
i am not one who believes in a fairy-tale hocus pocus god the way some religions describe 'god'...
but to me everything which can &amp; does happen in nature is an 'act of god'...since all things which make up the earth are a small piece of 'god'...

but if that is the case, then it opens up a whole other moral dilemna.
