Oh, let me clarify. I still take her to dog parks just not that location. My vet was specifically talking about that one. Lord, if I didn't let her get in some play time with other dogs, I think we'd both go crazy in here lol. Fortunately, my neighborhood is very pet friendly too.
You still do have to be careful though. I remember when I first moved into this neighborhood and took her for a walk. This couple on the next block must never rake. She just launched off into the leaves and started rolling around like she smelled the nectar of heaven.
When I yanked her leash, she had the foulest yellow dog poo on her ear, collar, and leash that I had ever smelled. Can you say drama? I was like oh no, what do I do now? No, don't jump on me. We're going home. So I hosed her down outside, tied her up, and went in to try figure out what exactly to shampoo her with. I was about to buss out the Dettol.
I worked it out though with just some Johnson's Baby Shampoo because I needed multiple applications and baby gloves. I threw the collar and leash out though.
Thank God she did not catch anything, but she is pretty sturdy for a small poodle. Rarely catches anything.
