Marnin Kia and all! Yes Helga is growing so fast I can't quite get over it! To look at the pics of just 10 days ago is almost shocking to see the difference.

Lucky me, she can go from 10pm to 7am without having to go out potty now, whew...we got the middle of the night stuff over with before the cold came!

Paris is moving good this morning so they can probably play again starting today. Yay, it was a stressful couple of days to keep them separated. Paris is a huge help in raising this baby, for she keeps her busy so I can stop watch every second once in awhile.

I will try to get a few pics of them together today!

Helga is a beauty!

So you took her on a day trip without Paris. I swear your pics have me ready to pack my bags.

I know you hate retractable leashes, and I can understand why. I am the guru of them though and Butterfly never entangles anyone even if they don't have a good handle on their own. I can push and lock the buttons blindfolded.

I have a couple of regular leashes that I needed for training classes, but I never felt like I had control like with the retractable. I like being in control of the length provided with one hand. I will admit that I prefer a regular leash if walking with a dog I don't know well.

We're going to Oktoberfest this weekend. If I find the cord, we'll have have good fall pics.

Bfly gets to run free at the cabin, and I get to test her obedience lol. She tends to be reluctant but usually comes through. Yes, poodles do love their acrobats.

Marnin Tulip et al..Tulip it is not the flexi leads I hate, it is the majority of people on one end of them are clueless. I actually had one in my pocket on saturday, in case I felt it was OK to put Helga on the end of one. Our encounter with the wild weenie confirmed that she is NOT ready for one. When I do put her on the end of one, she will be obedient and ready to wear it. I really wanted to go off on the stupid weenie mom, but I was concentrating on making Helga's first trip to the water a positive experience and not a traumatic one so I shut up for once!

It is so good to be able to let the girls be together again. I didn't realize what a wonderful & helpful babysitter Paris is until I had to separate the two for a couple of days. Boy, was I ever busy minding the Wile adolescent Doberkid.

Tuesday night we went for a wander up the driveway. Paris seems fine (whew)..



At 15 weeks, Helga is rapidly catching up to Paris height, and will soon pass her..





In this image I am pretty sure all of Helga's feet are in the air, as well as Paris's. I had my camera on continuous setting and the next step that left food is on the ground.

In other words, 8 legs in the air! How fun is that!



If Paris only knew...that in a few months, she is gonna be in BIG trubs. heh..



I caught a short glimpse of what Helga may look like as an adult here, the way I caught this frame. Love her smile.



When the playing is over, Helga eventually passes out for the night. Usually around 8-9pm now, until 6:30-7:00. After terrorizing the minPins, and being terrorized by Paris, she loves to snuggle with Tango on the couch.

Kia, you can say that again! Paris is estatic 100% of the time. Well, she has always been a happy girl but has never had this kind of opportunity and to watch her so thrilled is awesome. Paris mourned Rose for a long time, but I don't think she is anymore. She is totally focused on Helga & playing and being the boss of her. The tables will soon turn to an extent. Helga is already challenging Paris but in funny ways. She does things like hide around a corner and then spring into attack and other "surprise" moves. Too fun. this baby is too smart for my own good.

Thanks Peasie! They really are. Tomorrow is bath day for both of them. Paris gets one every 10 days pretty much like clockwork, and Helga is getting one at the same time so she can learn. Once she is used to being bathed I will bathe her way less. She feels so soft and silky!

Helga's head seems to have grown overnight. It is suddenly looking larger. GREAT, more room for brains! Right now she is passed out on the couch all nice and comfy like every 15 week old pup should be.

Good afternoon keesha, Rootsie, and Tulip and everyone! I have been away from here a few days while doing big home improvement sorry for the delay..

Yes, they are tons of amusing entertainment. The interacting with the Pins is going well, Helga is respecting 16 1/2 year old wobbly Ziggy and there has never once been a problem. She does like to terrorize the Pins though, but she doesn't know that is what she is doing. They are teaching her the boundaries and though I am supervising in case a situation gets out of control, I let the dogs work it out. The Pins are good at putting the wild puppy Helga in her place! Once Helga is finished being terrorized by Paris and she is finished terrorizing the Pins, she crashes pretty hard. (then I can actually take my eyes off of her for a few minutes! )




Others have confirmed that Helga's head did indeed grow larger. I can tell her brain is also growing, as she is retaining new things faster. She also forgot a important thing she knew, and I had to re-teach her. She learned early it is Ok to take stuffed toys onto the couch, but not any bully sticks or bones. She had to relearn that one.

Back to my remodeling!

MGee, thanks for asking! The reclusive Walter is right! Walter does not love Paris, for starters. When Walter came at the beginning of August last year, Paris was out with her breeder traveling to dog shows. Around the end of October Paris came home. Walter's little world was forever changed.

Over Winter we all huddled up nice and cozy like, and Walter only tolerated Paris, and he really didn't pay any attention to Rose. Walter is not a dog kitteh by any stretch, but he does love to cuddle with Tango.

When Spring hit Walter headed for the great outdoors for the most part, though he comes in at night to eat & sleep on a kitchen chair or the couch. Paris is very interested in Walter, and is infatuated with him to the point I have to stop her every day from stalking the cat door.

Walter is not very happy with the addition of Helga, and though he still comes in at night to eat and sleep, Helga has never seen more than a flash of Walter as he comes in and out he is a blur! I don't think she realizes there is a 2nd kitty!

My early suspicions of Walter's beginnings as a farm/barn bred kitteh seem to be true, according to how Walter acts. Tango was outside a lot of the first 2 or 3 years of his life as well, but as soon as it turned cold at night he came running inside, where he would stay for the Winter.

I am thinking Walter will do the same, as he was in the hallway having a later than usual morning snack this morning!

This is from Summer, and I will take more as Walter becomes more available (in from the cold).



The biggest plus side of the kitteh door, is no kitteh litter box but I do miss him sitting on my lap upside down so I can rub his belly.
