It is time for an update.. we are nearing completion [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

We had the extra heating vents added, electrical work done, insulation, sheetrock & 1st coat of paint.



Clancy... If a egg im inna de red - Part of the bamboo had been taken as it was placed on a diagonal and when the fireplace & bar was removed it had to be replaced. The dog is sitting on the new part of the floor




French door - now painted


Patio door and new bar area.. The cabinets are installed for storage and countertop has been measured but is currently being templated.. Realised I need to add some trim to the wall cabinets so may have to go back to the manufacturer and take a look see





We have some issues with the tiling that have to be fixed in the bathroom but as soon as the finishing touches have been made on the paint we will start moving the furniture back in..

Just a few more inspections left and we will be good to go [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

Dat is a good idea.. I usually avoid the store because it looks so junky the way everything pack up pack up.. but when I get some time will mek an effort to give it a second try fi deals..

in the meantime 15 yards @ $2.40 is what we'll be sticking with.

The cabinet part is fun.. Lots of details to go over.. I never realised how detailed one has to be with cabinets.. all in all this is good practice for a bigger project sometime in the future

Met with a fellow mocha mom who makes curtains & drapes.. We discussed what type of window treatments to make and how best to go about it.. She is booked till early November with her Ponchos (its poncho season out here) but will be able to provide an estimate soon

And the countertop people came, 30 mins later the countertop was installed..



Yesterday we had the final touch ups on the paint and the stairs were painted.. These stairs used to look so disgusting that all I could do is cover it with carpet. Now with a stain on the steps and the risers painted white, they are actually...... quite presentable [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70365-flirt.gif[/img]




Later today we will have a punchlist walkthrough and time for another payment [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

The plumber will come in tomorrow and then just the inspections.. and we're done [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]
