Everything has been bought with the exception of the backsplash. We are thinking we would like to go with glass tiles but haven't been able to find the right ones yet.

Well as long as there isn't anyone holding their breath we should be alright. I don't expect this to be done before the end of August/September. It is just the 2 of us doing the work, with the help of 1 friend and an electrician. The electrical work in this house is old old old. In fact there is an electrician at the house right now doing the &quot;heavy-up&quot; and installing the recessed lights.

oh...the top ones are pretty. they look like they'd be hard to keep clean....for me anyway.

i understand you're a fanatic...so should be just another mission for you to obsess on.

Boundie, those top ones look like they would work better. If you haven't bought the backsplash tile, perfect, as you can use it to tie everything together. Ann Sacks has fabulous choices - but $$$.

i agree Greenie....that top glass tile...is similar to the flooring i showed. Ties all the colors together nicely....i like the randomness of it too.

Well since we haven't picked a blacksplash tile yet, and the ones I showed in the photos above were just random photos I grabbed from the web...

I would love to see what your blacksplash choices would be with both floor tiles. That is the one thing left to buy and we are really having a hard time picking one.

If you see something that isn't glass but you still think it would work, we are open to it!

personally, i woulda went with a slate tile for the floor.(goes great with stained maple) the glass tile backsplash is a great idea, plus its the in thing for kitchens
