not exactly;
although i rather see extension braids or african styles than extension straight hair;
let's face it woman are the vainer gender so they're always gonna do things with their hair- that is a different issue;

it's the endless worhip of straight hair i can't stomach

But Jahyout ... not everybody who has straightened their hair it's an endless worship kinda thing. And note I am not defending creme/press hair since I've never done any of those things to my hair. I have friends who have done it all .... wear it out in it's natural state, braid it, straighten it by different means for special occasions and as long as the individual is comfortable with what they are doing then I leave them alone. I have been accused of pressing my hair (by a black man) and another told me when am going to fix my hair so it looks good (meaning creme it) by another and I also get tons of compliments on it in it's natural state...depends on what the smaddy comfortable with.

what the heck is this special occasions thing...
another thing;
if people want to straighten their hair that is their business;
all of a sudden no one has a clue what i'm talking about...

why is it such a controversy for me to state the obvious truth that the majority of black woman don't consider it a good thing to be seen in their natural hair??

i commend the ones who wear it natural sometimes but on any given day you will see far many more black woman with a weave or burned out to straighten hair than you will see with natural hair...who can dispute this?

converesely the majority of other races women can wear their natural texture with no problem...sure they curl &amp; do other things too; a few brave souls even get locks, but it is not the norm for them as having an alien hair texture is the norm for black women...

i seem like some kind of a nut to most black women wondering why i should care about hair...
but it is just another aspect of babylonia brainwashing;

i'm telling you i saw a picture of african first ladies and not one of them sported a natural hairstyle...(not that i'm surprised since they also now very much into bleaching)
and these are the so-called first ladies- the exemplars for young impressionable minds;
it's a disgrace...i bet i'll never see the first lady of france with cornrows no matter how special the occasion (unless she's on a trip to jamaica where they braid up their hair for fun &amp; kicks);

i thought maybe i would mature a little about this since my college days when i was 18 or 19 whwn i was disgusted by it and passed out a flyer i wrote about the subject...but i've only gotten worse;
mi bun fiyah pon dem mental enslavement of our women that straight is great, nappy is unhappy;

i have no problem with women changing up their hair- that is what women do...
but i have a problem when it becomes a crime for the hair god gave us is not good enough to please this &quot;society&quot;;
