This is the kind of stuff that often knocks the wind out of one's sails because we always want what is best for our children even when they go against our wishes and counsel. If she is a late bloomer as you indicated, there is still a chance they might rediscover each other and the things that are important to them. Relationships are about give and take and it seems they haven't quite figured that part out just yet. Keep the faith and keep on doing the best you can with your support and counsel.

Thank you, ChurchDude, for those kind and generous words. They still talk, and I think they are trying to work things out. they are still somewhat worried about whether he will be approved for landed, because if that doesnt work, then that's almost an automatic end to their relationship.

since mi a gi update on mi pickney dem: son in law has received his papers. he and dawta are still married, still trying to work things out. dawta also trying to finish school respectably. all things considered, things are going okay.

Good going MG at least them no run at the first obstacle... If it all works out they can pat themselves on the back and say we made it... if not then they can still say they tried. They are winners no matter what. Keep encouraging your daughter to finish her degree cause that is something that is hers forever.
