Yes the mother of the child was only 16, boyfriend was 17 or 18 at the time. The girl gave up her rights and wanted no parts of the baby, the boy just wanted some say just to get back at the girl. Both are heavy into drugs, he would take the baby evry other weekend. Most times her vagina and butt would be so sore and raw because he wouldn't change her diaper frequently. Would feed her junk, didn't have a bed for her or a room he would bring her home reeking and dirty. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img]


The baby never wanted to go and would put up a fight to stay with my cousin. She had her own baby room, crib clothes and every thing you could imagine at my cousin's place. But yet they turn around and give custody to a non working druggie parent. Then they turned around like my cousin was the villian she can't and haven't seen or know just how the child is doing. She has spent many a day taking her to the hospital on account of him, of course everything came out of her pocket cause the child had no insurance.

I know. I sit at my computer to compose one and go blank. I need to get it documented with the courts before it becomes stale news. I was away from my desk in meetings all day today but both of my cells showed that someone from the courts called me but did not leave a message. I am sure it was the Attorney's Boss because she is the only one there who knows both of my numbers. I only left 1 cell# with the Judge.

I am going to send a detailed letter to her stating all of the events of both days so that she can see that I have it all on record. I won't tell her what the right hand is doing though. She will find out in due time because I am sure someone from the Bar will contact her as well as the Attorney.

I sent a letter to the Child Advocates Admin on last Thursday. She may have received it on Friday or today at the most. I did not hear from her. I don't know if I will. I am going to send a different one to the BAR and will possibly include the one that I sent her but I may wait until they ask to see it. I know my initital letter to them must be brief on what happened and they will interview me for the details. I was going to do it yesterday but last minute schedule change had me at work all day.

I am also taking a 2 week Adoption Leave on the 11th. Gosh, I can't wait. I am so stressed I feel it in my muscles. I can't remembr simple things because my mind is full with this and that.

Update: I did send a letter to the Child Advocate Administrator a little over a week ago and she has never responded. I am assuming that she did receive it because it did not come back to me. Yesterday made a week ago that I started back getting the block calls once and sometimes twice a day. The latest being yesterday after 10am. This is what happened a week before she unblocked her number and called me.

I am going to the Juvie court this week to see about a restraining order. If nothing else, it would be a threat because she knows I have not seen her but she does not know that I cannot trace her calls due to the block that I have on it. I would have to remove my privacy directory to catch "her" calls and I won't do that. I am going to answer the next call that I receive. At least I will be able to know if it is her that is calling. She's supposed to be in Job Corp right about now, so I don't know how she would be calling unless they allow her to have her cell phone there. It could be unrelated, but I will see on the next call.

Meanwhile, after I leave the court, I am going to contact the BAR and let them know what went on and see what their investigation can do. I want to go ahead and nip this in the bud and make sure everything is documented and on record. I wanted to at least give it a few weeks to see if anything else would happen before I contacted them. Now that the calls are back, it's time.

I sure am glad I did not get Kimmy's name on the front of my car or my tag like I had planned to. Sheesh!

I'm trying Sis. Sigh... I just called the number to get information on how to proceed when ready to raise a charge/complaint against an Attorney and they have this automated system that takes your name/number and states they will return your call in the order it was received. I can imagine that is one mailbox that never remains empty. If I don't get a call by 4pm, then it's another day and I don't plan to be here all day tomorrow. I should have left one of my cell numbers and probably will if I miss a call from them.

Somehow, I feel like the bad person when I have done no wrong. My Adoption Attorney mentioned all the things that can happen to this woman if I took my information to the next level. She was not trying to make me feel guilty, just making me aware that this woman could lose her job, her home, her stability. She didn't mention her license but I know that will go with the job if it gets to that. Well, I feel for her if some of that happens, but it is still not my fault. I will have to live with whatever little miss decides to pull out of the hat while this person goes on about her merry way. I don't feel like if I suffer, everybody must suffer either. It's just the right thing to do when laws and trust has been violated. I have to protect our future. That's what counts to me.

Next time you have to send papers documents etc always get them certified ( you can either have someone sign when it arrives or you can have it where you can check via email that the other party has recieved it) this is what I do with important papers so you will have proof that they did indeed recieve it.

I thought about that because I always send legal paperwork certified. In her particular case, I did not feel it was necessary because she and I had the conversations and whether she acknowledge that she received it or not, it doesn't matter as much as when I send the info to the Georgia Bar Association. That will definitely be sent priority with certifiable tracking. There's no way she can deny we spoke or she can feign ingnorance on what was discussed.

Well I sure hope I don't miss their call today. I may take a trip down there to do it in person. I am going to the courts today to see what they can do about little miss. Whether it's her calling or not, I still want something on record, in her file, a restraining order, and whatever else I can get. If I can't get it from the Clerk's office, I am going to the Admin and see how fast she can assist me since she said I am the one who has to file it. Let's see if she will give me an address like her Attorney gave my name. I bet the farm she won't. She gave me the Legal Guardians last name and said that she has a business. If I have to serve her, then so be it. I just don't want any aggravation from any of them.

She said she do not know if they have jurisdiction over my particular issue because they mostly deal with client/attorney issues, but she will send me the Grievance form. She did not sound too encouraging. It was more like "you can file an ethics complaint but I don't know what will happen to it". [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif[/img] I don't understand that but I will look for the paperwork and send it on in. I will also find out if the courts have a complaint department. Sounds like a couple things - call center staff are not lawyers, nor trained to comment on such matters; and like medical practitioners, do not like to comment negatively against their compatriots, ie 'they' all stick together against the 'little people'

Well, I went to the courts yesterday. I was supposed to go on the 2nd floor to the clerk's office but the elevator would not open. It stopped on the 3rd floor and would not open. We almost freaked out. My cells were in the car because they have cameras on them and they aren't allowed. Before we pressed the call or alert button, it went to the 4th floor and binged open! Whew!. Inicidentally, it was the Child Advocate's floor. So not wanting to risk another elevator scare, I got off and went to talk to the Admin.

I found out the letter I sent to her on 5/1 reached her office just yesterday same time as me. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img] So she had not read it. We discussed that I was there for an address to serve a restraining order due to me believing that little miss was calling again with blocked calls. She went on to tell me she was still investigating after we last talked. She got the court transcript and nothing was mentioned about the adoption. I knew that! The girl said it was a conversation AFTER the case she was actually there for. She asked the Attorney what happened with her other case. Anyhow, she took that to mean that she was lying and the Attorney swears she never told her how to look me up. Be that as it may, she gave her my name.

Long story shorter, she said the Attorney/Courts did not do anything wrong. Missy had a right to see her court papers that were in her file. A minor has those kind of "rights"? Yeah, rite! But I interjected that if they were going to be shown to her, then my name and info should have been blackened out before she saw it. She could find no response. She asked again what I wanted her to do. I let her know that my anger is directed towards the courts and the Attorney for allowing this to happen and giving this child access to me. I think she knows I am taking it further. I told her I am not letting that go. I did not mention the Bar. She will find out when they investigate.

One of the Legal Assistants who handled her paperwork for her Legal Guardianship gave me a description of her. He says her features are very similiar to Kimmy's. He urged me to call the Police if she shows up. I said yes, that's the only way I would be able to get a report with her contact info on it. Maybe then, they will grant a restraining order. She is a minor when it comes to deprivation situations, but an adult when it comes to harassing me. What a backwards system!
