u know in GA there is a way of attending another public school...(my neighbour that run weh from her husband did tell me she was going to use it for her son.... this is as long as the school have space


this option is available even if the school that u are assigned to isn't considered "failing"..can't remember the term she used...will think bout it and come back

ETA: in GA it looks like it's called Intradistrict Transfer.....quick google..looks like Maryland doesn't have that option available?

BTW there is another option wi looking into. Another Public school about another 5-10 minutes from the house has a very good reputation. Newer school, facilities etc. My girlfriends' daughter attends there and her daughter has been there since KG with no issues...but we would have to lie about the home address to get her in there. Mi girlfren seh mi fi use her address but mi noh know if dat ago work cause I think dem need a bill or someting. Lawd mi noh know yaah. \o/

Lying about the home address can result in paying tuition in restitution . U may be better off, paying out of district tuition or just moving (rent out ur house &amp; move in there)

Wendy, transferring to the school 5 or 10 minutes away sounds like a good plan. Even though it works for your friend, make sure you like it as well.

I think you might need to say your circumstances changed and you had to move in the even they notice both children have the same address. I know providing a bill is not going to problem. Most people get their bills electronically now anyway so just open up adobe or whatever and make the address whatever it needs to be.

At the end of the day is about what yuh can tolerate nuh choo ?

List out yuh pros and cons and Priorities and what is important/best for your family
and especially little Wendy.

and no we ain't got no money fi bail plus yuh can't guh a jail now cause yuh have tuition fi pay.

By the way if yuh nuh have any archdiocese schools nearby check to
see dem have any other farrin-American schools nearby.

Likkelgen guh to a Greek-American school (same tuition as catholic school and same structure)

Unu noh wort quatty if unu cyaan at least bail mi out incase of jailment

Truth is mi nervous bout dat use of false address to yaah and Gen/CB (<span style="font-style: italic">cyaan memba which wan a unu cause unu look di same </span> ) MD doan have the option of intra-district transfer. So wish they did. Dat would mek life a little easier.

Mi look into the farrin-American ting to but I felt for sure the searches that I did would produce that but mi wi try again.

OK Tanks again... An Yes mi hafffi come up wid what work best fi her first and foremost.

go and put that public school on notice

meet with the principal
if no satisfaction - go to the county
if no satisfaction - go to the state
if no satifaction - go public/social media

i would be writing so many letters - their heads would spin

i would also get a list of the email address for the other students in her class - and blast them as well

you can do this aggravation from the comfort of your office

make the school make it right - i would NOT go transferring anywhere else

Ardmore as a school is excellent I am a previous student from years ago. <span style="font-weight: bold">Very few of the teachers view their jobs as a profession these days, no passion involved what so ever. Lots of yelling at the students goes on in this school. The principal has dressed inappropriately on several occasions, and is very belligerent to students and especially parents. Not only to students and parents, but has </span>also been very unprofessional in talking down to her staff in front of the students. She is very unprofessional and I think this school could be number one without her.


<span style="font-weight: bold">Principal Georgette L. Gregory</span> has a total lack of respect for students and parents. Mrs. Gregory also has serious integrity issues she is currently being questioned for misappropriating school funds in order to support her lavish life style. Mrs. Gregory has a habit of acting very belligerent towards students, parents and staff. A petition is currently being circulated in the Ardmore elementary community to have Mrs. Gregory removed as principal of the school

Believe me when I tell you I can relate to that parent thinking the Principal dresses inappropriately I have not experienced her talking down..but I guess I will watch her tone when I meet her. And ANYHOW.. aaah sah!

Remember the issue I didn't want to talk about? Well the issue was Wendy2 mentioning the yelling in the classroom by her teacher an si wan parent a complain bout it up deh soh

I am working on it Peasie ... mi a look into options dear. Mi need time fi sort out tings.

So mi cawl fi set up di meeting. Dem ask mi what is the meeting about. Mi jus seh waan talk to the Principal bout issues.. Secretary come in like shi waan start chat ova di phone an mi had to cut har off and jus mek har understand I just wish to speak to someone in person. I doan have time fi a relay problems ova di phone. Nex ting shi goh tell Principal seh mi seh dis and dat and she start mek up defenses before mi ketch deh
