the email i got from abu's teacher was also terrible - no paragraphs - just one long blob of an email - i almost corrected it - but since i've been mean enough to her - i didn't

i am also amazed at some of the emails i receive at work - some folks use text writing - stuff like - u and i can discuss this l8tr - ty - [censored]

Dats why mi have unu as editors Kia and Peasie.

Honestly, it easy fi mek some a dem mistakes.. God knows, it hard to proofread your own writing and it is NOT to say you don't know grammar or know how to spell.

I was horrified to see me send out something the other day with "residence" when I meant "residents"

Not that I don't know the diff between the two.. sometimes the brain and yuh typing naah work in sync. Mi naah goh soh quick fi criticize. Sometimes it can be an honest mistake

But writing text language now ..dere is jus no excuse fi dat

The principal sets the tone for the school. This is his 2nd weekly email (see the 1st email excerpt on top).. No bra dis cannot be tolerated.

When mi go in fi business, if im hot up mi nerves, I gwine edit his mails and send it back

And they wonder why I am paranoid about emails I send out. Yesterday I wrote my thoughts down and hit send before I edited so of course I have been busy apologising to all of the recipients. My jam.com and idle way of typing should never be reflected in my work.

'I and our lunch aids' is more than typos Wendy. That is plain bad grammar with bad spelling and run on sentences

Time and place for professional grammar.

But in general, some of the mistakes pointed out I was saying can be easily made like &quot;patients&quot; instead of &quot;patience&quot;

I can admit that I too have made some of those types of mistakes and is not because mi noh know propa <span style="text-decoration: line-through">grammer </span>grammar

Dis co-worker come a mi desk horrified ..shi a seh shi cyaan believe what shi jus send in an email. Shi tell mi fi come look cause shi cyan even seh it outta har mout.

This was not a grammar issue but a Typo. She was addressing the email to the head of a department

Was suppose to read: Dear Mister <span style="font-weight: bold">Gary Guy</span>.

She sent out

listen, I make mistakes writing email when mi a type fast, and zero mistakes when mi hand write.

Mi always proofreader and mi encourage everybody fi do the same. Mi couldan never send out some things mi see people a send out

as fi Barry mi gie him a Bly sometimes cause him live all over and poor ting never have the time fi ketch up.

Matter of fact mi becoming more and more sympathetic to Americans cause mi nuh convinced dem teach it at school so what the pikney fi do when parents nuh know it eedah ?
