Re: Why Bankruptcy Is the Best Option for GM
I keep wondering why the conversations always flow to the worst sins of politicians and the worst aspects of earning and/or living well
I actually see nothing wrong with being rich and I respect everything about someone choosing to be a Politician. Maybe if more people took some time out to send the right folks to Washington the world would have been a better place.
As for the Motor Companies as I have said before I have no great love for Detroit because it has stood in the way of progress in this country and for decades, but I think we have look at the matter a little deeper than trashing the Executive about their pay packages. Two of the mangers were not even Detroit types; they weren’t around when the stuff started going wrong in fact they were hired to right the ship at their various concerns.
It should not be about them personally, it is the whole culture of the USA Car Manufacturers and how they try to interpret the taste and driving habits of the USA Consumers. Apparently they did a bad job, but they did a bad job as a group, not just the 3 rich guys. The whole of Detroit was in trouble and the signs were on the wall but the Credit crunch dug them deeper and I think they might deserve some sympathy.
