I wouldn't say that about her but it is slightly what I am feeling. I have always known her to be honest almost brutally so. I don't think what she is doing to her husband is right but I also don't think she is in the right state of mind. She is living in some fantasy.

I ask her what exactly went wrong in her marriage and she can't point to any one thing. She just says there is no passion, no love for life, and she is tired of just going through the motions. It doesn't seem like something you wouldn't talk about with someone you took marriage vows with.

I can't help but get the feeling there is more going on than she isn't telling. Nothing seems to add up right now. She is leaving her husband without talking to him, she is leaving her job, her family,her friends, her LIFE to go make a new one.

He hasn't said anything directly. When I told him everything he just shook his head a little. I am sure he doesn't agree with her course of action but he knows it doesn't really matter what he thinks. Red doesn't waste time thinking about things that he has no control over. The only thing he said was when I told him how upset I am that my best friend is moving so far away. He said, "She is already far away, this isn't her."

I will not be here tomorrow when the new man picks her up to go to the airport. Between now and then I am just sort of going through the motions and trying to encourage her to talk to her husband and at least tell him she is leaving.Mostly, b/c I am concerned about what happens after she leaves and the husband is trying to track her down. I don't want any part of telling him she is off in Mexico. Her sister and Mom know about the plan so I am assuming her will learn about it from them.

not to be intrusive but is this the 1st time she has had an affair? is the new man a con artist preying upon her insecurities?

the radical change in behavior could also be due to hormonal imbalances (eg ovarian cysts & such).. has she had a thorough check up lately? [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif[/img]

Got to agree. Why is she avoiding the inevitable? Her husband at least deserves to know she's ok and not dead behind some dumpster.
It may hurt, but better to know she's alive and be hurt and angry than to be sick with worry.

She sounds like someone who got married very young and didn;t get certain things out of her system.

I agree that the very least she should do is tell her husband 0 that does seem cruel if he really wasn;t bad to her.

I hope she doesn't have any kids...

I'm also curious as to why they chose Mexico... another state wouldn't suffice?
