Listen, I don't think that most Black women have unreasonable expectations. They want the guy to have a job and earn a living wage so that they won't have to support him, they want to make sure he isn't into screwing around, drugs or boozing it up. I was having this conversation with a male Jamaican friend of mine just last night.

He said.....
He used to date exclusivly black women when he first moved here......but him find dat 1) dem give more bun. 2) dem eye always a look fi di upgrade 3) dem noh willing to be a help-mate and together build a foundation dem only want what is hers is hers and what is his is hers.

There is a difference between a woman being a helpmeet and a woman letting a guy freeload off you. Some of these guys love to freeload. They find it is easier to run their con on White women than Black so then they turn around and make out that the Black women are Stoosh and looking down on them. Crapola.

Having watched &quot;The Diary of Black Men (How To Love A Black Woman)&quot; recently, it is interesting that some of the points raised in this play mirrors some from the list above, especially points 9 &amp; 10. As the characters rattled off ways in which the black woman showed a lack of understanding of the black man's struggle, it was one of the more powerful moments in the production.
