Tell you how they would at least like to know what he even &quot;looked like?&quot; Tell you of the nightmares they have where they see their father in their dreams, only to wake up and realise that it was only a dream?

Whether they are more responsible or not, compared to the women who got pregnant by accident, and have their children out of wedlock is not the issue. That is irrelevant.

The issue is do these women stop to think of the psychological pain that they are inflicting on their children by...how can I say this...DELIBERATELY bringing them into the world without a &quot;father.&quot; in the true sense of the word.

As a father who does not spend enough time with his children, I dont get it either....Aint nothing as great as a you come through the door and dem scream in delight... and dem flig dem self at you in total abandon an playfully fight over yu... Nothing is as satifying or fulfilling as having a hotleir come over and tell you that you children are a credit to yu and you wife and dem manniable.. dis happen in a few times but dis year in a hotel on Skye mi head almost swell up and bus wid pride..

We may not be needed as providers but we are needed as philosphers.. to give an alternative perspective...

We men get a bum deal.... We seem to have forgotten there was a time our fatehrs would walk 5 hours between plantations to spend a sweet moment with our children,,, Too much feminisation of men...

I see man children being mammified constantly... the absence of a more powerful alpha dog to the lead the pack so to speak as our male tendencies to push the boundries and showing there are boundries are what fathers are for.. While not trying to sterio type but there is diferences with how women see discpline as to how men do it.. My wife tends negoitates, I tend to order.. both are nessesary for the male female balance...

a main issue i have with womans liberation/ femisism is they seems to have degraded the importance of raising children as a lower importance than work..

and hell my wife who is the primary care giver has a more important role than me the material provider... Dont get me wrong but if you can afford it I beleive that one parent should stay home and be a care giver.. it is immaterial the sex of this person is... (Tropi made this point that she wanted to stay home and resented the fact she had to work)... I at the moment can bring home enough that my wife can stay home.. But if she had to work to keep the home secure I would say go for it.. It is a less satisfactory arrangement.. On the other hand if she could bring back in materially more I would stay home.. T

hgough I will confess that I am a less capable care giver than she is... And because of the nature of lack of negotiation my children would have less fun, hence have a less happy child hood...

But despite being a secularist.. I beleive that this is a failure of a materialist aproach... The equating of child care with a montary measure.. Some things cannot be priced.. Raising a child cannot be valued as a job... Ideally it must be a labour of love. ... this devaluation of a male perspective is dangerous and we will end up with angry young men.. Hell we ahve enough....

I give credance that the best raiser of children are the biological parents... Any thing less is a compromise... Dont assume that I am saying that biological parents who harm children are ideal.. I am saying fundamentally children must be safe... But the best gives are teh biological parents....And most are...

And despite my praise for bological parents raising their off string, I feel that non traditional parents can be good parents.. And as distateful as this may seem I have no problem with gays adobting children... and raising them... But that raises the issue of a too masculine or too feminine enviroment....
