You know when I watched the story I didnt see a "broken" marriage per se. I just saw a guy with a LOT OF PRIDE. He started this train and when it was crashing head on he wanted desparetly to keep it on track (dishonestly). He fed her this lifestyle and wanted to keep it up. Whether or not she was with him for the money - its hard to say. My only premise is this kind of risk should be taken into consideration given the way the job situation is so fickle in today's society.
