I would draw the line at any of mi co-workers or friends dating any of mi family members.

Been there done dat when I had one family member date my BFF who was going through a separation from her DH but pretended to the world she was single

Could be that Nigel said to Drew stay away from dat MaddixQ and when he didnt Nigel seh, juss keep me outta yu drama and I will stay out.

No me nuh think so. I had one cousin (female) that i saw all the time growing up. I would only know if she break up with that guy and going out with a next one if or when she brought them by the house

“Morning, Morning. How you doing Allison?” It was Felandre. She was standing in front of the teacher mailboxes. Allison managed to make it to Wednesday of the next week without having to see anyone. She used being busy with her classes and the fact that Q had called in sick from work as the perfect excuse to not have to see anyone. Each time she called to check, Q answered and said she was fine, she just needed some time to get herself together. “I’m just not ready to face anyone,” she’d say each time. The Dept. Chairperson peaked in once to say that she took her dinner.

Allison returned Felandre's greeting with a half felt, &quot;Hey there, Ms. Lady.&quot; Felandre looked at Allison and put her hand over her mouth as if she needed to whisper, &quot;Let me ask you something? Where's Q?&quot;Allison's heart began to beat faster and Felandre continued, &quot;She hasn't been to work all week so far and she didn't come to the Meet. Matter a fact, you didn't either. We haven't met this week to work on our application.&quot; Allison felt the blood rush to her face and nodded toward an isolated corner of the office. She was grateful that Felandre instinctively followed. Allison looked around to make sure that no one was within earshot and then said, &quot;You remember that guy that Q was seeing?&quot; Felandre’s eyes did her talking. Allison continued, “Well I had to tell her Friday that he wasn’t any good.” Felandre’s eyes became wide and filled with horror. Allison kept talking, “He had a girlfriend and Q was just his side thing when girlfriend went out of town.” Felandre simply said, “Damn.”

She seemed to go into deep thought. Her eyes looked as if she was working through a puzzle. When she solved the mystery, she asked seeking confirmation, “Is that was you and Nigel was arguing about one the phone?” Allison said, “Yes.” Felandre began to shake her head and continued, “Yeah girl. Nigel was HEAT-TED. Me and Joy was like ‘what in the world?’ when we saw him hollering in the phone. We kept trying to figure out who was on the other end.” Allison’s heart sank with the news and she said, “It was me. He kept telling me not to do it. To stay out of it.” Felandre nodded in agreement, “Yeah, yeah. We heard him.” She took a pause to shake her head again then continued, “So what now, Q is where?” Allison said, “She’s at home. She was a mess.” Felandre looked sad and then said, “she can’t stay there forever.” Allison didn’t answer, but shook her head in agreement. Felandre continued to talk, “Yeah, but that girl is gonna have to come out of her house.” She changed the direction of the conversation and updated, “The Meet was good. The kids had a great time. I am glad about the Meet for Nigel though. He worked hard.” Allison felt bad, as she had broken her word about attending. She then said, “Yeah, I know I was supposed to attend, but…” Felandre interrupted, “I know girl. I know.” She paused and then continued, “That’s a shame what happened with Q though. But maybe her finding out was for the best. She wasn’t doing anything with that guy but fighting anyhow...kicking his door in. Fighting in the street...scandalous.” Allison agreed with that. Felandre seemed to sense Allison's dread, &quot;What about you and Nigel? You talk to him since Friday?&quot; Allison said, &quot;No,&quot; with an air of defense. But secretly, she wasn't looking forward to it. She knew it would have to happen...eventually.

Felandre looked at her watched and said urgently, &quot;Oo, girl let me go! The bell is about to ring. The kids are coming. See you later.&quot; Allison said goodbye. She took the stack of paper out of her mailbox and began to sort through it. <span style="font-style: italic">'Trash, Do this now, Trash, Do later...'</span> She turned to walk back to her room when she was greeted, &quot;Allison.&quot; Nigel was standing there with a smirk on his face.
