If a woman ages gracefully, it should be a compliment to be "older" yet still looking fine. Definitely something that one should be proud of, IMO.

Even then, rightly or wrongly, they try to equate age with experience and maturity. There are many women over 28 who are proud of their age and have no problems revealing it. If a woman looks older than her age then yes, I can see a potential issue but if she is holding her own or looks younger than she really is, what is the big deal? Individuals have no control over how old they really are.
