That is a lie. There are plenty of men who don't want their wives to work. My Mother has not worked since back in the 70's and her husband would not have it any other way. Every man out there is not on the "If I have to work, you have to work too" trip. Then there are women who work not because it's a requirement, they want to and the husband has no objection. Every relationship is different.

If a woman can go out and work 9 or 10 hours a day, what makes a man think she should come home and work the whole house and he sits in his easy chair waiting for handouts?? A decent man will come home and pitch in to make the house run smoothly. He can get the kids homework done. Get their baths done. Take out the trash. Sweep a floor. Or even cook. In some households, the man is the cook and all is well. There is no rule book on this subject so nobody should be judged.
